What is waterproof plywood?

Waterproof plywood is a moisture resistant material that many people use for various purposes in their home. It is great for outdoor usage, as it is resistant to various weather conditions, such as rain, sleet, snow, etc. It also works great for subfloors (levels underneath the “actual” floor), since it can keep moisture from the ground out of the floor.

Soundproofing tapes

New technology uses a cellular membrane to dramatically reduce vibration transfer through hard surfaces. With its peel and stick application, it is super easy to apply.

How does it reduce sound transmission and vibration transfer through common walls, floors and ceilings? Soundproofing tape is of low density and viscoelastic cellular rubber, which means it is a poor transmitter or conductor of sound. It will dissipate sound energy.

Knauf Classic 037, glass  wool

Mineral fibrous insulation material on the basis of glass with ECOSE® Technology.

Possible application: ceilings and soffits, pitched roofs, internal walls, external walls (grid constructions).

Thermal conductivity: λD = 0.037W/mK

Reaction to fire: A1

Classic 037 with ECOSE® Technology is intended for multipurpose application. It can be used in pitched-roof constructions as a thermal insulation filling of roof-frame rafters and also as a thermal insulation in external as well as internal grid constructions. It is easy to apply in beam ceiling systems as a very good thermal and acoustic insulation material.

Gypsum board hung ceiling

Gypsum board is the generic name for a family of panel products that consist of a noncombustible core, composed primarily of gypsum, and a paper surfacing on the face, back and long edges. Gypsum board is one of several building materials covered by the umbrella term “gypsum panel products.” All gypsum panel products contain gypsum cores; however, they can be faced with a variety of different materials, including paper and fiberglass mats.

Gypsum board is often called drywall, wallboard, or plasterboard. It differs from other panel-type building products, such as plywood, hardboard, and fiberboard, because of its noncombustible core and paper facers. When joints and fastener heads are covered with a joint compound system, gypsum wall board creates a continuous surface suitable for most types of interior decoration.

Floor construction

Easy access for the installation and maintenance of the services in a floor zone is the clear advantage of the Posi-Strut flooring system.

With the move towards the building of more sustainable homes, an increasing number of mechanical ventilation and heat recovery (MVHR) systems are being installed in the UK and Ireland, driving more and more architects and specifiers to look for a versatile open web flooring solution.

The system combines the lightness of timber with the strength of the Posi-Strut™ steel web, enabling you to span far greater distances than would be possible with alternative timber products, allowing a variety of internal room layouts within an external shell. This gives you unequaled design freedom across a wide range of applications for both floor and roof in domestic, industrial and commercial applications.
